e911ToGo
VoIP Enhanced e911 Service enables
VoIP providers to quickly and efficiently
provide e911 connectivity to their customers
as mandated by the FCC.
Are you constantly have an issue getting your
address to match the rate center info? Are you
having issues with address mis-match and loosing
the sale because of it? Well with the e911ToGo
solution this will never happen. Our system will
give you 100% coverage of the entire US and give
you access to here-to-for unsaleable areas.
Do you want to expand your service to another
area but can not because of e911 issues? If you
were using our solution you could just start selling.
Why do you need e911?
Two reasons:
Your customers demand it, and the FCC and CRTC
have adopted rules requiring all VoIP providers
to supply adequate E911 services to all of their
interconnected customers.
In order to maintain and expand their customer
base, it is now essential for VoIP service providers
to offer e911 services. e911ToGo has a turn-key
solution for VoIP providers to enable e911 easily
and at a low cost.
FCC Ruling
In
May 2005, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission)
mandated that, as of November 28, 2005, all
VoIP providers can no longer sign up or market
to new interconnected customers if they can
not provide full e911 service.
In April 2005 the CRTC (Canadian Radio Television
and Telecommunications Commission) stipulated
that all VoIP providers must implement e911
solutions to service their "fixed," "nomadic"
and "foreign exchange" subscribers.
The NENA (National Emergency Numbering Association)
i2 standard is designed to provide a blueprint
for all parties to work together. NENA's i2
standard, approved by the FCC, defines an architecture
that will allow IP telephony service providers
to deliver full E911 services through the existing
infrastructure.
Under the FCC rules, interconnected
VoIP providers must:
1. Deliver all 911 calls to the local emergency
call center;
2. Deliver the customer's call back number and
location information where the emergency call
center is capable of receiving it; and
3. Inform their customers of the capabilities
and limitations of their VoIP e911 service.
